O desportowashing e a dinâmica global em mudança na criação de imagem internacional
Resumo
Este artigo examinou a origem do sportswashing, com especial enfoque nas formas e no impacto a ele associados. Analisou também as formas como o sportswashing está a impactar o espaço cívico como resultado da dinâmica em mudança. Foram recolhidos e analisados dados de fontes governamentais e não governamentais. Foram consultadas informações de revistas, capítulos de livros e jornais online durante o decorrer desta pesquisa. As principais conclusões deste artigo revelam o ritmo sem precedentes que o sportswashing assumiu desde o início de um novo milénio e o potencial da sua disseminação. Por conseguinte, ambos os autores recomendaram, com urgência, a necessidade de as entidades desportivas adotarem medidas pragmáticas, como a incorporação dos direitos humanos, das alterações climáticas e das políticas ambientais nas suas estruturas para aceitar um país, entidades corporativas e indivíduos como anfitriões, patrocinadores, parceiros e financiadores de quaisquer eventos desportivos.
