Abstract

The aim of this study was to review studies that analyzed the effects of plyometric training (PT) on football players. The main physiological factor for this type of training to be successful is to use the stretch-shortening cycle (SSC), witch can be developed until the implementation of specific jumps combined. Several research show that this kind of training improves the performance of maximum strength, and sprints. Several sports can be benefit from the PT. With base onthis theme, we conclude that the PT is essential for all kinds of sports through the SSC.The article was based on evaluation of several studies on the literature that analyzed the PT, yours adaptation and benefits on training of footballplayers.
