Word clouds in a specialized scientific journal about futsal and football
Abstract
Objective: To verify the frequency and tendency in the attribution of keywords used by the authors of scientific articles over 15 years about futsal and football in a specialized journal. Materials and Methods: Quantitative study of bibliometric. Currently, one of the greatest contributions of bibliometrics is the possibility of identifying an overview of phenomena, trends, and regularities in the dissemination of scientific knowledge production. After accessing the journal's website, all keywords from the 15 volumes and 63 issues from 2009 to 2023 were collected. The Excel software was used as instruments to quantify the frequency of keywords and to create the word cloud. The subscription-based access application, ChatGPT Plus plan, from OpenAI, ChatGPT version 4 in 2025, was used. Results: In its 15 years of existence, it has published/disclosed 15 volumes, 63 issues, 839 articles, 831 authors, and 3083 keywords. The 10 keywords most used by the authors were football, futsal, sports, athletes, goals, performance, anthropometry, training, motivation, and adolescents. Discussion: These results are innovative in the field of production, publication/dissemination of scientific knowledge in the context of scientific communication, in the object of this investigation, which is the use of keywords used by the authors, the producers of knowledge, about futsal and football in a specialized journal to identify the trend in this series of 15 volumes. Conclusion: Finally, this distribution, frequency with which the words appear per edition volume and over the course of 15 years of this journal specialized in futsal and football, expresses a trend, to date, of what is considered the object of investigation and publication/dissemination by the authors of the scientific articles.
