Incidence of Goals in Men's Futsal Matches of the “Jogos da Juventude” in 2023
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to compare the incidence of goals in the under-15 male category of the “Jogos da Juventude”, organized by the Associação Esportiva dos Municipios do Sul e Sudoeste de Minas Gerais (ASSESMIG), based on the 2023 edition. Regarding methodology, the methodological typology used for the elaboration of this article is quantitative. The study included the 8 teams that participated in the “Jogos da Juventude”, under-15 male category, with a total of 17 matches. Thus, 16 games were analyzed, and subsequently, the goals were tabulated. The goals were divided into three periods according to the duration of the matches: 0-10 minutes, 11-20 minutes, and 21-30 minutes. After tabulation, descriptive statistics were conducted, which led to the results and discussion. It was concluded that the period from 21-30 minutes had the highest incidence of goals throughout the competition, a trend that also occurred in the second phase and quarter-final games. Regarding the goals scored in the first phase, the 11-20 minute period had the highest incidence. The semi-final was the only phase where there was a higher incidence of goals between 0-10 minutes. Finally, in the final, the goals were evenly split between the first and last periods.
