Analysis of the effectiveness of the Y/1x1x2 defensive system in a high-performance women's futsal team
Abstract
The tactical system is defined as the way players on a team are positioned and organized on the court. On the other hand, the defensive system is defined as the way the defense is organized and positioned in response to the maneuvers and offensive behavior of the attack, always aiming to neutralize, balance, and regain ball possession. The main objective of this article was to determine the effectiveness and efficiency of the defense in Y. This study is observational in nature, with a descriptive approach, characterized by a cross-sectional design. To ensure control and efficiency, performance analysis was conducted through scouting. The results show no statistically significant differences in Y marking concerning the outcome, (x2(1) = 0,111, p=0,739), meaning that Y marking was neither more efficient nor inefficient in the studied sample. However, when effectiveness is considered, the results indicate that Y marking was more effective in Game 2 and more efficient in Game 3, with no difference found in Game 1.
