Material and Method: The study carried out is a qualitative, cross-sectional study and is characterized by exploratory descriptive research, the investigation being carried out with six coaches, who work in the grassroots categories of two large federated clubs in the city of Porto Alegre-Rio Grande do Sul. through a semi-structured interview, addressing five open questions. Discussion: After an analysis of interviews, we checked that the coaches’ value of extrinsic feedback in the teaching-learning-training. Those professionals who were interviewed, the use of this tool must occur with a correct dosage, in a precise and appropriate way to the age group. In almost it’s the entirety, the interviews claim that the transmission of information takes on greater importance in the younger categories and/or in the early stages of training. Analyzing the difference of application, considering technical and tactical qualities, we found differences of opinions because some coaches claim to use the feedback to the whole group of athletes, while others admit using on a larger scale to first string athletes. Result and Conclusion: The study seems to reveal that each coach has his line of work, not necessarily following a proposed instruction, feedback relative to extrinsic, arising out of the club where they work professionally.
