Levels of physical fitness in athletic practice, launch of ball of the olympic experimental gym (geo) of the Rio de Janeiro city council
Abstract
The practice of athletics began in Brazil around 1910, soon after the Brazilian Sports Confederation became affiliated with the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) in 1914. The Brazilian Athletics Confederation (CBAt) is responsible for the sport in Brazil. It is a retrospective, longitudinal study. Thirty-three students, aged 11 to 15, participated in the study, practicing Athletics, in the form of Ball Launch. For the
intragroup comparative analysis (pre-post) the Wilcoxon non-parametric test was applied. For the intergroup analysis the Mann Whitney test was used. The analyzes were processed using SPSS 22.0. Intragroup analysis of the volunteers who trained 5 times a week showed that, with the exception of the 20 m run, significant improvements occurred. In the group that trained 3 times a week, with the exception of the 20 m run, there were also significant improvements when compared to the two moments of training. The results showed that the specific practices of sporting modalities related to athletics presented as being important for improving the motor skills of the students.
