Temporal analysis of goals in woman's football London Olympics game 2012
Abstract
This study aims to identify the most critical periods of the game where goals were and use the data to better training of staff. Materials and Methods: The study aimed to analyze the goals that occurred in the 2012 London Olympics Women's Football in the sport. In collecting 70 goals divided into 15-minute periods, and the goals achieved in injury were computed in the final 15 minutes of each time were analyzed. This study used descriptive statistics, absolute and relative value. Results: 70 goals were scored and 48.57 % in the first half of the game and 51.42 % in the second half. Of those 70 goals , 11 ( 15.71 % ) were scored between 0-15 min , 13 ( 18.57 % ) between 16-30 min , 10 ( 14.28 % ) between 31-45 , 8 ( 11.42 % ) between 46-60 min , 15 ( 21.42 % ) between 61-75 min and 13 ( 18.57 % ) between 76-90 minutes. Discussion: The study showed that most of the goals were scored in the second half of the game with a difference of only 2 goals between times. Some studies have reported some factors that influence the most goals in the second half of play, being: physical and mental exhaustion, the search for the result and the reduction of playing time, psychological, nutritional and tactical aspects. Conclusion: Through this study it can be concluded that the final minutes of the match are the most critical, occurring more goals. Thus sees the need to improve the work of interdisciplinary teams, to improve the athlete for the same support in the best way and can be productive and able to support the load required for this period.
