The context of match analysis in professional Futsal teams in Brazil
Abstract
Understanding that the context in which the match analysis is carried out remains little explored, our goal was to investigate which information extracted from the match analysis is relevant for the decision making of futsal coaches and analysts. Semi-structured interviews (content analysis) were conducted with six coaches and/or those responsible for analyzing the match. Four themes emerged: training, work structure, work relationships and game analysis. The initial training guarantees the necessary knowledge for the function, which was presented as an activity dependent on human relations, with the coach being responsible for the main choices of what and how it will be done; and the analyst responsible for performing.
