Technical indicators of the winning and losing teams of the italian championship season 2016/2017
Abstract
Introduction: Football is one of the most practiced sports in the world. The championships involving this sport take crowds to the stadiums, in addition to providing high ratings. Among the championships of this sport, the Italian league is one of the most competitive in Europe. Objective: The present study had as objectives to compare the finalization, the successful passes and possession of balls of the winning and losing teams and analyze the association between the variables of the teams that participated in the Italian championship, season 2016/2017. Materials and methods: For that, a primary and quantitative research was carried out analyzing all 380 games of the Italian Championship. The survey data was collected through the Four Four Two® website. Results: The results show that there was a significant difference between the winners and losers in the finalization, ball possession (%) and successful passes variables. Concludes: We conclude that there was a significant difference between the losers and the winners, as well as the correlation between all the technical variables in the games.
