Neuromuscular carachteristics of female football players: A study with youth athlets from Pelotas-RS
Abstract
Female football popularity has growing in last ten years, and more of 30 million of players in all the world today. Some factors has relationship with success in a football game like physical, motor and psychic fitness. So the aim of these study was describe neuromuscular characteristics of sub-16 football girls. They were included 21 players of the sub-16 women's team. In previously scheduled session, height and weight were measured. After, jump height with and without countermovement, agility and velocity were evaluated. The average in SJ was 25.47 ± 4.12cm and in CMJ 27.38 ± 5.51 cm, results lower than in genera literature. In speed test (20m), was performed in 3.63 ± 0.2s. It was concluded that the low performance of the players in the jump test It may result young age and low competitive level, a fact that possibly compromise the kind of stimulus received in the training sessions, affecting performance.
