Temporal Incidence of goals in the FIFA Women’s World Cups
Abstract
The aim of this study was to perform an analysis of the incidence of goals in women’s world cup from 1991 to 2023. Materials and Methods: Descriptive and retrospective study that analyzed the goals of the 9 editions. Were analyzed all the goals that occurred in the first and second Half of the matches and during the periods of 0 t 15 minutes, 16 to 30 minutes, 31 to 45 minutes, 46 to 60 minutes, 61 and 75 minutes and 76 to 90 minutes. The statistics were performed using the independent t Test, to compare the first and second Half and ANOVA two way to compare the periods, adopting the value of p<0.05 as the statistical difference. Results: A higher incidence was found mainly in the last period of the game (76 to 90 minutes). Conclusion: The higher incidence of goals in the second Half of the matches, mainly in the last period of the matches, between 76-90 minutes.
