Quantification of the punctuation obteined by the teams after having one or more athletes sent off in the brazilian soccer championship of serie a 2007
Abstract
Introduction: This study of original article was carried out through a field work, identifying the punctuation efficiency of the teams, in the Brazilian championship in 2007, after having one or more athletes sent off during a football match. Objective: Analyzing thirty eight rounds carried out during the Brazilian championship in 2007 checking the punctuation performance of the teams after suffering disciplinal sanctions what they caused in punishment through an expulsion. Literature Revision: For production and fundamental of this study, there were boarded the play rules. Materials and Methods: To check the punctuation of the teams after the incident of one or more expulsions there were examined all the three hundred and eighty official summulae of the championship, identifying if the expulsion damaged, it helped or not interfered in the punctuation of the match. When they resulted: In a total of 380 plays, 149 expulsions took place with 111 (74, 5 %) not altering the punctuation of the teams, 25 (16, 8 %) damaging the punctuation of the teams and 13 (08, 7 %) helping in the punctuation of the teams. Discussion: With the evolution of the physical preparation, at present, it is possible which teams of football punished with one or more expulsions manage to adopt a tactic scheme that allows to them to maintain the competitiveness up to the end of the departure. Conclusion: We end with the analysis of the summulae that most of the expulsions did not interfere in the punctuation of the teams.
