Decision support study: the choice of "number 10" ideal method based on Macbeth
Abstract
Over the last decades, there has been an growing use of analysis of decision support analysis in several sectors of industry. The Brazilian football industry, in turn, is very outdated and not followed this breakthrough. One of the deficient fields is the hiring players. The informality of the factors for new player's contracting by Brazilian clubs inhibits the use of a careful analysis on the various aspects exploitable around football. This work aimed to develop a new model to selecting an ideal midfielder to be drafted by the main Brazilian Team. This is done using the MACBETH method to value players according to their skills through statistics. The objective is to propose a methodology for choosing an ideal point guard played for composing the selection in order to reduce costs and investments and increase the number of team wins.
